Holiday Collection Schedule
During the week in which a holiday falls, collections will be postponed by one day on the holiday and for the remainder of the week. Trash, recycling, and green waste will be collected as regularly scheduled except for the following holidays:

What is SB 1383?
New Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383) regulations went into effect on January 1, 2022. SB 1383 aims to reduce statewide organics waste disposal by 75% by 2025.

Subscribe to Recycling and Organics Services
All businesses and multi-family complexes are required to separate organic waste, such as food scraps, plant trimmings, and cardboard, from the garbage.

Bulky Items
There are two ways that residents may dispose of bulky items:
What Can Be Collected?

Furniture such as chairs, sofas and mattresses
-
Appliances such as refrigerators, ranges, washers and dryers, water heaters, dishwashers, and similar plumbing or small appliances

E-waste such as computers, telephones, televisions, stereo equipment, and other electronic devices

Yard waste such as tree branches, scrap wood or bundles up to 4’ long
-
Clothing
-
Other non-hazardous items

All items must be able to be moved by two-man crews or they will not be collected

What Is Not Allowed?
Unacceptable items include all hazardous wastes or materials, such as oil, solvents or paints; construction debris, such as concrete, asphalt, lumber or drywall; equipment or vehicles; pick-up truck or automobile tires.

How Do I Schedule a Collection?
Residents must call 888-888-0388 to schedule a bulky item collection at least 24-hours prior to their next regular scheduled collection day

Residents may place up to 4 items per collection. There is a limit of 10 FREE collections per year, after which a fee will apply

Multifamily complexes are allocated one collection per each unit, per year

Items must be placed at the curb no later than 6 AM on collection day

Before placing items at the curb, please consider donating all working, usable items to local thrift stores and charities that support our communities and help keep materials out of landfills

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)
There are many items that may not be placed in your regular curbside trash, recycle or green waste carts. These items are Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) which include items such as:

Wastes containing mercury (e.g., thermometers, fluorescent lights)
It is illegal to dispose of hazardous waste improperly. For proper disposal of HHW call 888-CLEANLA or visit www.888CleanLA.com. No hazardous waste listed above may be placed in the curbside containers.
